BEN FROM LOST

I haven’t watched “The Other Guys,” the Lost epilogue from s6 DVD yet.  I am not ready to say goodbye!! I will update when a review when I have steeled myself.

Ben Factor: 68%

Ben has been basically gone for a while.  In this ep Ben is back, but maybe he is also bad?  Or maybe he Always Has A Plan.  Many seem to think this but I am not sure that Ben From Lost still has a plan at this point.  And if he does, was Nice Ben of a few episodes back but a sham b/c he was busy making Ben Plans?? In other words, is it better than Ben have been truly nice and then really bad or is it better that Ben has been grayscale Ben and been planning all along.

This Ben ep had a very “So What?” (-from the Stab Keamy ep) moment when Ben was like I want to kill more ppl that I dont like.  Ben didn’t like Zoe b/c she was annoying and he didnt like Widmore because he killed Alex.  As far as these two characters I can still be on board with Bad Ben.

This episode tests one’s love for Ben From Lost and for my part it has not wavered.  To paraphrase Spock Prime (J.J. Trek, 2009), “Ben you have and shall always be my fave lost character other than Locke.”  It is not Bad Ben that is sad but Ben in the grip of Mean Locke (although behind the visage of Scary Locke is Titus Whoaelliver…..).  If Ben ends the show thus, it will be a moving tragedy, if Ben triumphs…I will still cry BECAUSE LOST IS ENDING GODDDD.

EDIT: I almost forgot about Side Ben in this ep because it is such a different story.  Side Ben’s tale is so good and sad and sweet.  Michael Emerson who better be cast everywhere starting next week gives a very perfecty phrased little choked-up moment here because he is the best actor on this show (w/ Terry O’Quinn).  Michael Emerson rules so hard in this ep I will give it a Emerson factor of 90% separate from its Ben Factor rank.
